: how many people have died
Thanks for showing concern with your question Sebastian. Fortunately, losses of human life have been low in Yellowstone. In 1988 two firefighters lost their lives here in The Park. I am unaware of any since then in Yellowstone, but last year on the Fridley Fire north of Yellowstone about 30 miles a helicopter went down claiming the lives of the firefighters aboard. Airplane and helicopter crashes are one cause of death where firefighting is concerned. Smoke inhalation, falling trees, and fire itself are others.
