Thanks for the question. Typcically bears are very good at being mothers. They will protect their cubs from just about anything including much larger male bears.
In terms of taking in an orphan, I doubt this would happen. It works for Disney but not in the natural world. There is too much at stake to adopt in the wild, usually.
