Summer of Fire and Beyond go back go forward

Fire blazes through the forest in the summer of 1988 Due to these extreme conditions, no new natural fires were allowed to burn after July 15.

In spite of that, the perimeter of the fires in the park doubled to about 17,000 acres within one week. After July 21, all fires, regardless of their cause, were fought within the park.
