Grizzly bears will eat everything that black bears will—and more! During the summer grizzlies can be found grazing in open meadows, and along streams and wet areas. Their long claws and strong shoulders make them more efficient diggers than black bears. Thus, they find it easier to feast on roots and ants, and to unearth small rodents such as pocket gophers.
