Interpret Yellowstone National Park
The
arrival of the automobile opened America's national
parks and forests to thousands of first-time visitors.
Automobiles were first admitted into
Yellowstone National Park on August 1, 1915. Photographer
Jack Richard of Cody, Wyoming, was at the East Gate
of Yellowstone a year later to document the growing
number of tourists coming to visit and camp in the
park.
