Speed Goats - page 4 of 39

(Quick recovery) Well, of course, I knew that. I merely wanted to be sure that we were all on the same page. Ms. Prong, if you would be so kind as to let me finish, I would like to inform you that pronghorn are so different from the African antelope that they have their own scientific family, Antelocapridae. In fact, they are much more closely related to goats. They’re even known as “speed goats” by many people.
However, no matter what this animal is called, I claim that it is in no danger! Today there are nearly half a million pronghorn roaming sagebrush prairies across the West. Also ante— (clears throat) I mean, pronghorn, are no closer to extinction in Yellowstone than the visitors are! In fact, I will be showing evidence that there have been too many of these animals in the park at times.
